On Monday, April 18th, 2022 #DionsDailyDose will have a very special guest. Chief Deputy Ron Heeg will be appearing on the show to tell us why we should vote for him for La Porte County Sheriff. Sheriff is one of the most critical races this year and is one of the most powerful offices in La Porte County. We have to choose this office holder very carefully. On Monday, April 18th, you'll get an opportunity to ask the critical questions you want answered. Send your questions to talk@dionbergeron.com or ask them Live during the show. All guests are asked for a bio, and this is what we were sent for Chief Deputy Heeg: "A lifelong LaPorte County resident, Ron has been with the Sheriff's Office for 25 years, where he currently holds the position of Chief Deputy. He was a member of the dive and rescue team, the Emergency Response Team, and served as a Field Training Officer. Ron attended Indiana University South Bend with an associate degree in criminal justice. He is also a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, Leadership LaPorte County, a graduate of the University of Louisville’s Southern Police Institute. He serves on the Board of Directors for Grand Heritage Federal Credit Union, Indiana Department of Homeland Security District 1 Taskforce, LaPorte County Triad, and Stepping Stone Shelter for Women. He hosts a monthly radio show on WIMS AM-1420 called “Chief’s Chatter”. Ron's wife, Heather, is a nurse at Franciscan Health Michigan City. They have two daughters, Olivia (12) and Allison (10)." This is a huge one, folks. You don't want to miss this.
